Privacy Protocols
How Sinedu handles education data — collection, use, encryption, retention, and your rights. This is app-owned content, not an independent certification.
Overview
This page is maintained by Sinedu to answer common privacy and security questions about the platform. Sinedu is an operational layer for education management; we process data on behalf of schools and districts and treat it as confidential by default.
Data We Handle
We process administrative and operational records supplied by your institution — rosters, schedules, attendance, staffing, and the reports we synthesize from them. The exact scope depends on which integrations your district enables.
How We Use It
Data is used to run the workflows your institution configures: automation, analytics dashboards, and synthesized leadership reports. We do not sell data, and we do not use customer records to train shared AI models.
Security & Encryption
All records are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is governed by role-based controls with least-privilege defaults and auditable access logs. Infrastructure is SOC2 Type II and FERPA-ready.
Data Retention
Records are retained for the active life of your contract and a short wind-down window to support export and legal holds, then securely deleted. Specific retention windows are defined in your service agreement.
Your Rights
Institutions can request export, correction, or deletion of their data at any time. For individuals, requests are routed through your institution's designated administrator to verify scope.
Sub-processors
We use a minimal set of sub-processors for hosting and core infrastructure. A current list is available to customers under contract on request, and we notify institutions in advance of any material change.
Privacy Contact
Questions about this page or data handling can be directed to your Sinedu account lead. For formal privacy requests, contact your institution's designated administrator.
